What is happiness for you?
For me happiness is being in health. Every day I wake up from my bed without any pain and full of energy (and appetite!). Every day I go to work with a smile on my face because my current job is my dream job. Every day I share my emotions or experience with someone else (family, colleague, friends..) and this makes me feel not alone.
For me there are two different happiness: immediate and long term one. Example: you can be happy doing no exercise and eating junk food from morning to evening. This happiness doesn’t last long. But eating healthy and exercise regularly you will be pleased and happy from feeling good every day.
How did you come to your current level of positivity and what did you have to overcome to achieve it?
Hard work. Repeating this cycle I’ve created an attitude of a positive person who knows his possibilities and also limitations (which I’m working on). To be what I am now I had to work on myself and my anxiety in particular. Now I’ve learnt how to convey this energy positively and how to reduce it. And especially when you want to do an “unconventional job” like wellness manager or health coach you have to go against many rules of “normal” life.
What tools and techniques are you using daily to keep happy?
Work hard, follow your passions, be yourself, have a moment of pleasure every day. Every day I eat healthy and I work out to feel good. I constantly study to improve my career (selfish happiness) and help people (unselfish happiness). I don’t hide who I am and what I am like. Every day I have my moment of pleasure-relax: from getting out with friends to watching a movie alone on Sunday, with the slice of cake.
Why do you think so many people are unhappy?
They accept their unhappy condition and don’t try to change it. Sometimes we have to risk, we have to believe in ourselves much more, we have to be more honest with ourselves. Be what you want to be and you will be a happy person.
